Alumni and Giving

Our Alumni hold faculty appointments in leading research universities, teach across the higher and secondary education sectors, and leverage their research skills and domain-specific competencies in government, non-profit organizations, as well as industry and business. As stewards of their disciplines and professional leaders in their fields, they help address the urgent and complex national and global challenges of our time.

Surveys of our doctoral alumni’s career trajectories and of their experience in their PhD programs help inform our benchmarking and program improvements.

Every year, we invite back to campus alumni whose PhDs have taken them into careers in all sectors. Their generous participation in roundtables and workshops enriches our professional development and career orientation programing and enables current students to develop their professional networks.

The generosity of our community of donors provides the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences with the resources we need to develop the excellence of our graduate programs in competition with the best schools in the nation and internationally. If you wish to explore opportunities to support state-of-the-art graduate programs in the Dietrich School through scholarships, professional development, or enrichment programming, please contact Dean Hoock at
