Strategies and Resources for International Travel

April 17, 2019 - 4:00pm to 5:00pm

Many of you travel as part of your time at Pitt — to international conferences, for study abroad, and for long-term research in the field or in archives overseas. In response to student requests, and partnering with Pitt Study Abroad/UCIS, the Dietrich School is pleased to offer the Strategies and Resources for International Travel workshop. The University of Pittsburgh has many resources to help you prepare and plan for travel, as well as support services to ensure all goes well during your time abroad. This session will cover pre-travel preparation (including medical, legal, documentation, and technology), strategies for remaining healthy and safe while abroad, and who to contact within the university for advice and assistance should something go wrong. Whether you are traveling for the first time since arriving at Pitt, or are a seasoned traveler, this session will offer valuable advice about resources for a safer, healthier, and more successful time abroad.
